The origins of Los Angeles-based artist Dillon Froelich's unique characters are found in his third culture upbringing in the absurdist paradise of South Florida. His paintings abstract the characters from his illustrations while crafting compositions that explore nonlinear narratives influenced by memories, films, travel, unfolding global events and evolving cultural phenomena.
Froelich graduated from RISD in 2015 with a BFA in Industrial Design. He is a designer on the upcoming Simpsons movie and is regularly involved in commercial animation and illustration projects with clients such as Disney, Stance, Giphy, Deathwish Skateboards, Office Hours with Tim Heidecker, Vice and Volcom.
